Congratulations, Chris! – Cause Communications

We are so pleased to announce that our founder, R. Christine Hershey – or “Chris” as most know her – has been named by PR News as one of the Top Women in PR for 2015.

Chris is a long-time advocate for the advancement of social causes through the effective use of strategic communications. She was a primary influencer and early contributor to the field of integrated communications that leverages the intersection of corporate, philanthropic and government sectors to create real and sustainable change. For almost 40 years, she has been a trailblazer and a passionate catalyst for positive social change in California and nationally. Her work has shifted debates on issues ranging from domestic abuse, LGBT rights and health care, to immigration reform, racial equality and social justice. Chris has also been a pioneer as a businesswoman. Cause Communications is one of the oldest independently owned agencies and one of the first Certified B Corp agencies as well as being a social venture hybrid.
