National philanthropy leaders discuss new research findings of Communications Strategies that Fast Track Policy Change

Cause Communications and partner Media Impact Funders rolled out findings of our new research funded by The California Endowment on Communication Strategies that Fast Track Policy Change during a sold-out breakfast at the Communications Network Conference on Oct. 9.

Mary Lou Fulton, Senior Program Manager at The California Endowment and Martha Davis, Senior Program Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, discussed how their support of innovative communications campaigns is effectively shifting policy and opinion on issues like school discipline reform and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). A group of nonprofit and foundation communicators eager to learn how to better integrate communications into their foundation’s work joined the conversation, which covered topics such as evaluating the impact of funding communications projects and shared best practices from the field.
